I have got this question asked every single day. Where can I do my online shopping Ebay or Amazon or directly with the retail stores online.
Good news is all these merchants have a price match which means you will win at the end of the day but Do you have time to go to each of these websites to compare the prices? Alright let me try to help you with this question.
Amazon:
Amazon is the most popular online shopping site in the world. No doubt about this. They are the leaders in the online shopping. Will that make Amazon the best site to purchase? I will not be able to give you a concrete answer to this question as all these website have pros and cons.
Pros:
1) Amazon have great people reviews and products to choose.
2) Great Suppliers who wants to compete with the price point.
3) Great websites and very innovative shipping policies so we can rest happy.
Cons:
1) Sometimes Amazon is very pricey.
2) If you need to take advantage of the free shipping in Amazon, you need be a Amazon Prime member which is $ impact.
Ebay
Pros:
1) Ebay have a very robust process for the sellers. As they have a great seller reviews, you can trust the person you are buying the product.
2) Price is very competitive as the seller fee is lower. You might get what you want with a best price point. Again not always true but most of the time I got it :).
Cons:
1) Ebay's product review is not as good as their sellers review. It would be great if we can have that level of detail.
Other Sites:
All the other retailers try to match price with Amazon or Ebay (only approved sellers). You can still have the way to see the products, get an expert opinion and purchase it. Do you want to spend the extra $ for this? Again, It is not for me to say....
With this I will still say you might be the best judge but these point might help you shop smartly in the future :).
